NBA Match Preview -- Utah Jazz vs Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors and the Utah Jazz duke it out at the Vivint Arena on Thursday night.

Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz continue a homestand Thursday night with a 9-5 record overall and a 5-2 home record following a 120-85 home win against the Philadelphia 76ers. Utah relied on smothering defense against Philadelphia holding the 76ers to below 40% shooting from the field and 20.7% from beyond the arc, while winning the rebounding battle by 14. Donovan Mitchell is one of the most exciting young players who has a pretty strong offensive armory, and has all the tricks required to beat defenders. He is on pace to again be an All Star leading Utah with 24.6, wah boasting a team high 1.8 steals per game.

NBA Match Preview -- Utah Jazz vs Toronto Raptors

Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have an interesting roster this season, as they have many exciting young players in their ranks. However, they have been in a real slump lately as they’ve lost five of their past six games. Toronto Raptors just felt short to the Trailblazers in a 118-113 road loss on Monday. The Raptors shot 46 percent from the field and 15 of 33 from the 3-point. OG Anunoby leads Toronto in scoring with 20.1 points per game, while point guard Fred VanVleet chips in with a second best 19.4 and a team leading 7.1 assists.

Prediction

With Pascal Siakam returning, the Raptors could be a tougher side to beat. There is no doubt that beating Utah will be tough. But given the players in their roster, the Raptors could come up trumps on the night.

Tips: Toronto Raptors +9
